I don’t think it’s a good idea for children to be homeschooled because children need interaction with kids their own age in order to develop the social skills necessary to function well in society in the future, and simply because interactions make these kids mentally healthier. It would’ve been so much harder for me, personally, to make friends had I not been to school. I also think that a homeschooled education probably does not compare to being taught at school, where there’s usually a set curriculum and lessons that have been honed over the years, as well as teachers who are experts in their subjects. It’s just too much to expect a parent to be able to effectively teach higher levels of math, chemistry, history, and other subjects.
