托福听力主旨题只有两个类别-- 1. Why does the student go to see the librarian? 2. What’s the conversation mainly about? (或What are the speakers mainly talking about?)

1.Why does the student go to see the librarian?

以上这个问题，换一种说法也就是让你判断学生找图书管理员的目的是什么。这样的主旨题最容易拿分。为什么呢？因为它总是出现在conversation的开头，而且措辞都非常明显。大家想一想，假如你要去找图书管理员，你会在谈话的中段还是尾声才提出你找他的目的吗？肯定不会，目的肯定在开头几句话就会提到。其二，表达目的的方式十分有限，无非是--1. I was wondering if I can get a part time job here. 2. I can’t find the book I want, can you please help me with that? 等等。一般都非常简明易懂。

2.还有一种类型是What’s the conversation mainly about? 这个稍微比第一个类别难一点点，但是也有一个很简单的方法--通过谈话覆盖的篇幅去判断。 比如，conversation的前1/3是在谈论essay，后3/2是在谈论volunteer work， 那主旨题一定是选择关于volunteer world的。
