横向展开的时候，句话不是一个“总判断”，而是描述讨论主体的特点： A fine education comprises good teachers

and state-of-the-art facilities, both of which cost money or are highly

expensive. With the increased income, people are more likely to afford the good

teachers and facilities than they were in the past. 递进一步，回应题目中间的程度： As a matter

of fact, the growth in wealth is considerable and even enormous among some

people, and the likelihood is a lot higher than in the past. 引入例子的措辞形式：This is

well illustrated by my family and many other families in China. Our grandparents

were unable, due to their poor finances, to receive good education, and my

generation, with the significantly improved family income, now can afford the

high tuition fees.

纵向展开的时候，句话是一个“论断(assertion)”，即中心句：The markedly increased number of good

schools also makes it much easier to be well educated. 细化一下“过往”这个概念：Decades ago,

there were a few good schools and there was fierce competition for the scarce

places, and as the competition eliminated most applicants, being admitted to an

institution of good education was not easy. 过往对比如今：The situation has improved

today. With the increased availability of such good institutions, being well

education is obviously easier. Take my grandfather as an example. His case is

that when he was my age, his application for the town’s only good school was

rejected and he had to end up with going to a mediocre school. My case is

different. I have the chance to receive a number of offers from other good ones,

although some good institutions may not admit me.

In addition, being well educated is not confined to formal education and is
