There was an idea--to bring togethera group of remarkable peopleto see if we could become...something more.So when they needed us,we could fight the battles...that they never could. In time, you will knowwhat it is like tolose. To feel so desperately that you're right, yet to fail all the same.Dread it.Run from it.Destiny still arrives.Evacuate the city.Engage all defenses. And get this man a shield.Fun isn't something one considers when balancing the universe. But this, doesput a smile on my face.Who the hell are you guys?

Who you shared the activity with and explain why this activity was new or exciting for you.

There was an idea in my mind—to bring together a group of bookworms together to see if we could achieve something new.So, I organized a “reading party” last year at a Starbucks in the city center. I had been preparing for the party for a whole month before theactual event.

On that day, all the registered “bookworms” arrived on time, and we shared our ideas towards reading. Here are some of the ideas that we shared. One college studentstated his opinionabout academic reading. He said: “Fun isn’t something that one should consider when it comes to academic reading, because it is boring by nature.”But another “bookworm” who wasin the opposite positionsaid: “Reading can neverbe a boresince people choose what they read.” In thebrain storming session, all the 20 “bookworms” exchanged thoughts with others. The “reading party” lasted for a whole afternoon, whichdrew so much attentionthat even the Starbucks staff shared some ideas.

This activity was exciting to me because through my own effort I learntwhat it is like to share, to discuss and to communicate. And of course, the eventput smile on the faces ofeach member. That was something that satisfied me as an organizer. If time permits,I’ll organize that kind of activities as much as possible not only to meet new people but also to get new ideas that are inspiring.
