What book it was

Why you read it
And explain what you liked and (possibly) disliked about the book.
It’s a masterpiece and a household name. Though I heard a lot about it from my novel-loving friends and the English literature teacher, I just didn’t read it. That book was Jane Eyre, a popular novel written by English female writer Charlotte Brontë. I began to read it one week ago after a serious order from my girlfriend, and soon get drawn into the plots because of the close first person perspective which will lead the whole reading towards accepting Jane’s worldview and feeling strongly bonded with her. The novel goes through five separate stages.
When Jane spent her childhood in her aunt’s house, she was mentally and physically abused by her relatives and maids, and she showed a great courage to revolt them. To go further, when she was sent to Lowood School for education, she revolted against the hierarchy and makes friends despite poverty and discrimination. When she found a job as governess at Thorn field Hall, she encountered and fell in love with Mr. Rochester, which she afterwards parted with and finally married
During these sections the novel provides perspectives on a number of important social issues and ideas, many of which are critical of the status quo. The part that struck me deeply is Jane Eyre’s formative years.
Little Jane Eyre maintained her adamant courage throughout her battle against the relentless inflictions and unjust chastisement of Mrs. Reed. Despite her humble position in Gateshead Hall and harrowing background, she kept her insurmountable fortitude to live through the harsh mistreatments and pernicious/malignant/virulent criticism. Her own sharp wit and perseverant pursuit toward a better tomorrow brought her up again and again in her deplorable conditions. She ceaselessly pursued for truth and justice within herself and this unsurpassable force of belief prompted her to raise against the unreasonable arguments and cruel ill-treatment of Mrs. Reed.
That beauty of humanity shines like a super star in a pitch-black night.
