As a child, I had many memorable experiences that helped shape who I am today. One such experience was playing a game called ;Smiling Numbers; with my friends in the local park. Not only was the game fun, but it also provided valuable lessons that I have carried with me into my adult life, particularly in relation to the IELTS Speaking test.

The game was simple we sat in a circle with one person sitting in the middle facing a standing circle of players. The aim of the game was for the players to make the person in the middle smile or laugh by pulling faces, making rude gestures or telling jokes. If they succeeded, the person in the middle had to swap places with them.
While it may have seemed like a simple game, there was more to it than meets the eye. Through playing ;Smiling Numbers;, I learned valuable skills such as nonverbal communication and how to control my facial expressions. As a result, I became more confident in expressing my emotions and thoughts, an important skill that I have used in many situations in my adult life, including interviews and presentations.
In addition to its importance in my personal life, ;Smiling Numbers; also relates directly to the IELTS Speaking test. The Speaking test is designed to assess the ability to communicate effectively in English, including expressing opinions and responding to questions in a clear and concise manner. By playing ;Smiling Numbers;, I was able to develop these skills in a relaxed and fun environment. Similarly, IELTS test takers can benefit from practicing their speaking skills through games and activities that encourage communication and expression.
In conclusion, as simple as it may seem, my childhood experience of playing ;Smiling Numbers; has proven to be valuable preparation for the IELTS Speaking test and has helped me become a more confident and effective communicator in my adult life.
