Some activities need to be completed by a group of people and it is claimed

that people can learn more from these than from individual activities. In my

opinion, both have their advantages and it is hard to say which kind of activity

is more valuable.

有些活动需要由一群人完成，据说人们可以从这些活动中学到更多的东西，而不是从个人活动中学习。在我看来，两者都有各自的优势，很难说哪种类型的活动更有价值。

To begin with, all group activities emphasize cooperation of participants.

For example, in a football game, all players need to work closely and only with

every member's effort combined, can the team defeat its rival and win the game.

In this process, participants can learn how to cooperate with others and develop

team spirit. This can benefit people in their work, as cooperation is the key to

success in many complicated tasks. Besides, in a team activity, people have the

opportunity to socialize with others coming from different backgrounds. Social

skills are highly valued in the modern society, giving people wider connections

and more access to information.

首先，所有小组活动都强调参与者的合作。例如，在一场足球比赛中，所有的球员都需要紧密合作，只有在每个成员的努力下，球队才能击败对手，赢得比赛。在这个过程中，参与者可以学习如何与他人合作，培养团队精神。这可以使人们在工作中受益，因为合作是许多复杂任务中成功的关键。此外，在团队活动中，人们有机会与来自不同背景的人交往。社会技能在现代社会中得到了很高的评价，给人们提供了更广泛的联系和更多的信息。

However, it does not mean that communication and cooperation skills are more

important than other skills and the role of team activities should not be

overstated. Excessive emphasis on cooperation may lead to dependence on others

and impede people's personal development. Many successful sports professionals

and musicians attribute their success to persistent practice year after year and

cooperation seems to be unimportant in these activities. When people play the

violin or play chess, being alone can be more productive. Without distraction

from others, players can better focus on what they are doing.

Overall, people can benefit largely from group activities, but individual

activities are also essential in a person s growth and development.
