劣势一：

中心句(笼统说明段落大意)： The distance may widen the gap and loosen the bond.

根据中心句展开(说明白具体情况)： Although the gap between the parents and children is

inevitable, being apart widens the gap, 讲“为什么”，是论证的关键： because the distance

deprives them of the chance to share thoughts and feelings and to have any

mutual understanding, even making them strangers. The separation alsostretches

the bond. As the bond is stretched and becomes thin, it may eventually be

broken. For example, it is not uncommon that the elderly living in the nursing

homes are seldom visited by their children. Those people live alone and some of

them even die lonely.

cannot be reversed, being with people of the same old age makes the process

afresh; instead, they are more likely to agree with each other on their outdated

views on the surroundings and sigh for the retirement and being useless,

attributed to the old age. The lack of sparks or their pessimism makes them
