Describe a happy family event from your childhood that
you remember well
:
What the event was
When and where it happened
What you saw or did
and explain why you remember this event so well
1.happy, enjoyable, thrilled, delighted, cheerful chuffed
2.childhood, earlier years, younger, back to my childhood
范文:
As a girl brought up in the city, life in the countryside seems pretty far
away from me, however, an experience of celebrating a Chinese New Year in

countryside has totally changed my mind. And it’s also one of the happiest and
most memorable family events in my childhood.
I remember it’s like when I was in 7 th grade. During the winter holiday, my
parents decided to let me experience the real, authentic Chinese New Year, so we
went to a small village where my great-grandpa lived, and there we celebrated
the most significant festival of the year.
It was a whole new, different place! Blue sky, green mountains, crystal-clear
waters, they worked together, just like an oil painting. Besides that, the real
new-year’s atmosphere was the most impressive part. You know, at that time, in
consideration of factors like noise, pollution and security, setting off
fireworks and firecrackers is completely banned in our city, but here in
village, I could enjoy the fun of setting of fireworks with my cousins ;
parents without any worries, which was definitely a lot of fun.
Also, it’s the first time for me to celebrate the new year with such a big

family. Coz’ in the past, most of the time I just spent the day with my parents.
but at that New Year’s Eve, more than 10 members reunited together and sat
together to enjoy the most important and gourmet meal of the year, eating,
talking, cheering. When it came to the moment for new-year’s countdown, every
one stood up and toasted together. The whole house was full of laughter, which
was pretty unforgettable to me and left me a deep impression.
Now, when I look back, I still believe that it’s the best new year ever. Not
only for those fun things we experienced, it’s also because we did feel the
happiness of family reunion.
