In some cultures, owning a home rather than renting one is very important
for people.

不好意思，肯定有问题呀～
Ø has a value
preservation?。。。这可不就是中文么。。。何况preservation还是个不可数名词。小黑鸟飞过的尴尬。。。
Ø 这两个句子用therefore这样的因果逻辑链接，其实没有必要。尤其是拆成了两个句子来表达这样的因果，没必要。
Ø 先 avoid some economic risks 再 such as
inflation，这个从宽泛到具体的层次递进，逻辑上很严谨，但是起来有些繁琐。
所以，教师修改后的句子如下：

Ø 最主要的是伴随状语的部分：making it arguably the best possessions of an average
household to beat inflation 。
Ø fall in
value的意思是贬值。为什么没有用depreciate或者devalue?故意没用(起码在全文第 一次出现“贬值”概念的时候不着急用)，fall in
value 读起来更自然舒服。而且和后面的 be worth more 搭配起来，相得益彰。
