　 Shown in the two charts are the 2008 statistics regarding the numbers of UK

graduates and postgraduates doing different types of work excluding full-time

work. Overall, there are apparent similarities and minor differences between the

two groups of graduates.

注意开头处的倒装现象。

注意词汇：表达程度的形容词apparent和minor。

Voluntary work, chosen by 3,500 graduates and 345 postgraduates, was the

least popular choice among both groups. In fact, all graduates would rather be

unemployed, and it is particularly the case among postgraduates, as the

unemployed numbered 1,625.

首先索性把voluntary work这个情况最特殊又单纯的destination用一句话写完拉倒。

第 一句话中的动词被动分词引导的状语插入，介绍了数字，又避免了罗列数字那样的“流水账”写法。

第二句话是CC文脉的关键，让第 一、二两句话之间形成联系的同时，又在句子内部再次形成递进关系。

最后的由as引导的状语从句中number的动词用法，意义为“数目是”。

整个段落没有用定语从句也一样可以介绍清楚数值。

Further study is noticeable not only for it had the greatest and

overwhelming popularity among graduates – as it was the destination of almost

30,000 graduates – but also for it was onepreference for postgraduates, which

was the choice of 2,725 people. The other preferred destination of postgraduates

was part-time employment, as there were 2,535 postgraduates who chose it. In

addition, when graduates would not choose further study, theyopt for either

doing part-time work or being unemployed as two equally preferable choice.

由not only … but also … 构建的句子是亮点。
