1.Why do local people like to read local news?

Personally I think that local news are more closer to people's daily life. In

my own case,I usually read local news to get to know information about new

movies, especially its runtime, so I'll never miss it. Others people may read it

for jobs, as you know, there are many job advertisements in local newspapers.

Moreover, people also read it for getting the local weather forecasts.

2.Why do people like local news more than international news?

Well, some people don’t like international news because they think the

international politics is hard to understand ,especially for women. So they

usually show little interest in it. But local news is closely related to

people's daily life, so they focus more on things in local neespaper, such as

entertainment news, exhibition information or job advertisements.

3.How often do Chinese people buy newspaper?

Well, I think nowadays except for old people, young people in China seldom

buy newspaper. Cos young people get information in many different ways. They

watch TV news, read online news, and even use their mobile phones to follow the

news. What' more, news content is usually provided free online, so people in

China are reluctant to spend money on traditional newspaper.

4.Is it convenient to read news on the internet in your country?

News is very convenient to read on the internet and it’s the way my friends

and I usually get the news. Besides the regular news sites in China we also have

other places like Baidu which contains many micro-blogs about things all over

the country. I think this is replacing newspapers in many ways because it is so

much more convenient and it’s free.
