接下来为大家带来雅思口语Part 2的超高频话题之Describe a time you watched the sky.请描述一次重要的对话。:
:
When this happened
Who you were with
What you saw
And how you felt about watching the sky
Ok then, well what I’ve decided to talk to you about is the time that I
watched a solar eclipse, which was pretty spectacular actually, cos it was a
total eclipse, not just a partial one. And I’d actually go so far as saying it
was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.
But anyway, as for when this happened, well I can’t actually remember when it
was exactly, cos it was quite a while ago, but I guess it was probably around
um… three or four years ago, something like that. I do remember the time of day
quite clearly though. It was late morning, sometime around 11-ish, and
basically, because it was such a big thing, you know, like a once in a lifetime
occurrence, pretty much everyone left what they were doing to come out onto the
street and watch it. So where I was standing, there must have been, like, a
hundred of us all looking up at the sky to try and get a glimpse of the
eclipse.
And it was incredible, because one moment the sky was bright and sunny, just

like any normal day, and then the next, it went completely dark, you know, like,
pitch black, when the sun disappeared behind the moon. So it felt pretty
surreal, seeing the sky in darkness at midday for a few moments. And um.. I
remember I actually got goose pimples watching it, you know, I was in total
awe!
So uh.. yeah, I don’t really know what else to say about it! It was just
really, really cool to watch, and I’m sure I’ll remember it for many years to
come. Thanks for listening!
