What the suggestion is

I believe everyone has the period when you were pretty rebellious(叛逆的), and I was also rebellious when I was a teenager. I remember that it was in my secondary school, I was addicted(沉迷于)to computer games. At that time, all I thought was computer games, even in the classes. So every day, I rushed back from school only to play computer games for a while before my parents came back, which led to the decline(下降)in my grades. My father noticed my unusual behavior, so he required to have a conversation with me. He told me he had got some information from my teacher and he knew that I was addicted to computer games recently. He told me the bad effects of playing computer games. He said it could only damage my eyesight and distract(分心)me from study. At last, he recommended me to do more reading instead of playing computer since he thought reading is the best way to relax. He had a belief in me that I would definitely become a well-rounded (全能的)person if I read more books. After the conversation, I felt really ashamed. Ever since then, I have gradually given up computer games and spent more time reading. Now I feel so lucky that I received this suggestion from my father, because his influence was beyond words: I got admitted to an excellent school, I won scholarships (奖学金)every year, and what’s more important, like my father said, I grew up into a well-rounded student.
