年轻人是否适合在政府担任要职呢?这个题目当然应该关注“年轻人”、“政府”、“要职”这些关键词，应该讨论政府要职有哪些要求，年轻人有哪些特点，这些特点是否适合他们在政府中发挥作用，等等。注意我们在思维的时候不要过于复杂，要尽量简洁直接。比如政府要职的要求，如果要复杂地思考那就要考虑很多东西了(比如管理能力，正直，处理人际关系，素质等等)。我们要从众多思维中选择与年轻人相关的东西来讨论。

担任政府要职需要经验，这是年轻人缺乏的，因此年轻人不适合担任【反对】。

担任政府要职需要改变精神，这是年轻人擅长的，因此年轻人适合担任【赞同】。

我的观点：有些政府要职更注重经验，最好不要年轻人担任，但另一些要职更需要激情，年轻人完全可以担任【一分为二的结论】。

As we can see on television, the important positions in the government are

often held by gray-haired men and women. While it is assumed by many that the

elderly people are more experienced and capable, I would say that some important

government positions should also be open to young people.

我们可以在电视上看到，政府重要职位通常是由头发花白的男人和女人担任。虽然很多人认为，老年人更富有经验和能力，但我想说，政府的一些重要职位也应开放给年轻人。

Undoubtedly, experience is of utmost importance for many government

positions. These positions have to deal with a great number of people every day

and crisis may emerge any time. For example, a foreign affairs minister has to

make quick responses to the problems that may come from all over the world every

minute. Without the rich experience collected from his long-time service in this

field, it would be unlikely for him to fulfill his duties. Young people,

therefore, are not really suitable for this type of government positions.

However, young people should be given the opportunity to hold those

government positions which call for more passion than experience. Young people

who are more open-minded and receptive to new idea than the elderly, are more

likely to solve problems in an innovative way, and to put theiroriginal ideas

into action, which may lead to unexpected benefits. As far as I understand, the

national ministry of education as well as the primary schools and middle schools

should be led by young people who are more inspiring and innovating.

然而，应该给年轻人机会担任那些需要更多激情而非经验的政府职位。年轻人比老年人更开放，更接受新想法，因此更有可能以创新的方式解决问题，并把自己新颖的想法付诸行动，这可能会带来意想不到的好处。在我看来，国家部教育以及中小学应该由更具启发性和创新性的年轻人来领导。

people should hold important government positions. For some positions which are

more experience-based, the elderly people are more suitable candidates, yet for

other positions which require more passionate spirit than experience, young

people can perhaps do a better job than their elderly counterparts.
