And explain why it was a waste of time.

Whenever I walk between home and school, I feel that I am wasting my precious time. You know, I have to spend an hour in the morning and another half in the afternoon to do nothing special but commute to the same place every day on the weekdays. Therefore, I came up with some ideas to make this work not that tedious. For example, I tried to run to my school because I could spend much less time going there and at the same time I was able to keep healthy. However, as you know, there are so many turns and crossings and traffic around the block. Therefore, I stopped regarding running as a way to save my time. Also, I tried to put on earphones and listen to English as a method to improve my English skills. Well, it was not practical,either. When I passed the crossings, I needed to focus on the street otherwise it would be so dangerous. Listening carefully to English might distract me from what was happening around me. Eventually, I thought of an idea to figure out this problem. I got one of my classmates who lived nearby to walk with me.Consequently, on the way to our school, we can chat and share something we are mutually interested with each other.
