The chart provides information about the proportion of people who need to be

taken care of in 5 nations in 2000 and 2050.

In four countries, the percentages of dependents are projected to increase,

albeit to widely varying degrees. In Indonsia and China, there were

approximately 32% of the elder and the minor. By 2050, these figures are

expected to increase to around 34%. However, in both Korea and Japan, a slightly

larger increment is expected: from 25% to 48% (Korea) and from 31% to 49%

(Japan), which is also the largest projection for 2050.

The situation in India is quite different, whose percentage of the dependents

is predicted to decrease by 7% (38% in 2000 vs 31% in 2050.)

In terms of the situation of the whole world, 32% people need to be looked

after, but the predicted percentage in 2050 is higher at around 41%.

To sum up, for Indonesia, China, Korea, Japan and the whole world, there is

estimated to be more and more people requiring care.
