Topic:
Describe a person in the news you would like to meet.
:
Who the person is
Why they are in the news
Why you would like to meet this person
and explain what you would say to him/her.
Sample answer:
I’m not a big fan of anyone in the news at the moment, but the person I want
to meet is Donald Trump. He certainly seems to be popular with a large section of the population in
America – and that’s interesting - because he’s not even a politician. He’s constantly in the news at the moment because of
his bid for the US presidency. He’s not accepting any money from big corporations
or the rich political classes which normally buy politicians. And I think this
is one of the primary reasons why he’s attracting so much support from many
regular Americans, they are simply tired of the political elite and the
corruption in governmentand Trump is literally a breath of fresh air, he’s using
his own money, and speaking in non political language and that seems to be
resonating well with a large section of people. If I have the chance,I would probably want to ask him just one question:why on earth he wanted to
go through this whole process. I mean he’s one of the richest guys in the
country, so he could basically do whatever he wants, so I’d be interested in
hearing his reasons for running for president, especially since he’s not a
politician.
