Some people think young people are more suitable to be leaders rather than

old people.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

这个题目

学生写道如下一句：

I believe that elder people are more suitable to be leaders than young

people with two reasons.

* be suitable to be leaders这个表达繁琐了。

* 更idiomatic的表达习惯时for two reasons。

* with (with更正为for) two reasons放在句子最后面不太好。不知道是用来修饰I believe的还是用来修饰elder

people are more suitable的。因为，要么是“我的详细是出于两个原因”，要么是“年长的人更合适是出于两个原因”。

看下面

教师修改意见：

I believe that for two reasons elder people are more suited for leadership

positions.

或者

For two reasons, I believe that elder people are more suited for leadership

positions.

* 解决了上面的分析中的问题。

* 同时把suitable换成suited。人作为主语去适合岗位的时候，用suited更idiomatic。

* be suited for leadership positions符合“人作为主语去适合岗位”的搭配要求。

小总结：

* 状语的位置有讲究，不然意思不唯 一或者有歧义。

* 有些词汇有idiomatic的用法，靠语言经验积累。
