The number of people choosing to live by themselves has increased rapidly in

recent years. Why is this? And is it a positive or negative development for

society?

与14年09月27日的考题相比,，仅仅是在题目的最后多了一个词组for

society。对审题比较有研究的烤鸭肯定会知道，这可是一个限定性的修饰。言外之意就是本题的第二个问题的论点，都应该是和社会相关。其实，这个限制并不严格，因为和社会相关的论点太泛泛了。说来说去，你会发现其实都和社会相关。

Personal space is always what some people are in pursuit of after suffering

from tiredness from work or stress from study, and naturally a growing number of

people begin to live alone, and hereby they believe the inner peace can be

easily reached.

由于这个题目是混合提问，因此在首段笔者只是介绍了背景，并没有点题。这个写法多少有些冒险，但是只要后文的逻辑给力，也倒无妨。

Primarily, our unprecedentedly noisy living environment is bothering most of

people nowadays. There is no gainsaying that our life is surrounded by

increasing noise, gradually resulting in huge mental stress to us. Besides, the

fast-paced lifestyle makes people live under huge stress and high-tech devices

push people into situation where they can be interrupted by all kinds of

information moment by moment. Struggling in all those, some people consequently

find out a way to escape from all those adversities, a shelter that only belongs

to themselves.

本段自然是回答问题一，也就是述说一下行程这个现象的原因。本段笔者从两个角度来说明了现代人愿意独居的原因。

What the general public need to be concerned about at first is that living

alone weakens people’s communicative skills and even the desire of communicating

with others. Faced with problems like this, people definitely have more

possibilities to get mental illness. What is worse, living alone is thought as a

temporary method for avoiding pressure for people. Instead, it is not the way by

which stress can be released. People who always try to keep themselves away from

pressure will probably be more vulnerable. There is no place where they can hide

themselves forever. Without a shadow of doubt, it will be a severe social issue

that a considerable proportion of population fear interacting with others or are

not able to deal with pressure appropriately.

这段是来回答题干中的议论型问题。因此应该至少应用两个论点来得出结论。笔者对独居现象并不看好，因此论述了两个缺点。换言之，这个独居现象自然是对社会不利的。

Humans are gregarious, yet this stressful and noisy society is pushing a

rising number of people to live by themselves. This tendency ought to be paid

sufficient attention to by the public as it does harm to not only individuals

but also the whole society.

由于开头段笔者没有清晰点题，因此结尾段一定要着重强调对两个问题的回答。也就是必须强化笔者的立场。
