In recent years, there has been a growing awareness among many people that

shifting occupations and dwellings several times during their lifetime earns

them a lot of benefits. However, if they are not prepared for problems airing

from such practice, it would be a frustrating and fruitless experience.

There are at least two advantages of job-hopping and the first one is that

job transition is deemed as a key to enrich working experience and skills. It is

comprehensible that job hoppers have more chances to engage in various projects

of different fields. In this way, more choices of job positions are available

for them and they are equipped with competence in coping with challenges and

risks. In addition, job changing is an effective way to explore one’s job

prospect. Many job seekers are not clear of their professional path when

undertaking the first job. Therefore, it is necessary for them to attempt

diverse jobs until having a detailed plan for their career advance. As for

merits of moving houses, enlarging the circle of friends may be the most obvious

one. When living in a new apartment or community, it is more likely to make the

acquaintance of neighbors.

However, it is a waste of time and money if people switch their residence too

many times. As is known, tenants are bound to spend time viewing renting

information online or newspaper, inspecting housing conditions as well as doing

decoration and cleaning after moving into the new place. Apart from this, they

have to pay the bill for the service of moving house. Similarly, frequent

changing for job leads to the dislocation and instability. A case in the point

is that HR manager may refuse to interview those who are used to working in one

position only for a short period of time as the boss value the loyalty and

integrity of his employees. Without stable work and income, hardly can they

achieve the sense of general satisfaction with life.

In conclusion, as far as I am concerned, although the shift of job and living

places brings advantages in advancing career and improving social life, it is

still recommended that one should be mature enough in terms of mental

development as well as stress management before making this decision.
