Last summer, I went on a trip with my friend in the city. We just got one day

off from work, so we decided to do something interesting. We rent a tandem bike

at the beach, a kind of bike built for two people to ride together. It wasn’t

expensive at all, and just cost 30 yuan per hour. We wanted to ride along the

beach, and a tandem bike was a perfect choice since we could ride it together,

and hopefully, make the trip less tiring.

It was our first time to ride a tandem bike. I was the front rider, and my

friend was the rear rider. I was in charge of steering and pedaling, while my

friend was in charge of pedaling and navigating. Both of us were very nervous

because we couldn’t find the balance, and almost fell to the ground for several

times. Fortunately, we cooperated well, and soon find the key to riding it. Then

we started to enjoy the magnificent view of the sea and the beach.

As we expected, the trip was very enjoyable. While riding the tandem, we

could feel the gentle breeze on our faces. The pace of life slowed down, and it

was the moment for us to feel the beauty of life. When we climbed up a slope, we

pedaled quickly. When we went down a slope, we couldn’t hold our excitement and

shouted loudly. Also, as the rear rider who didn’t need to steer, my friend took

many photos on the trip.

Although the trip just lasted for about 2 hours, we really enjoyed

ourselves.
